CARPETED FOAM-RUBBER PANEL IS EASILY FREED ONCE THE FORWARD EDGE IS LIFTED.

 
 

CARPETED FOAM-RUBBER PANEL BEING LIFTED OUT. FLEXIBLE RETAINING TABS ON AFT EDGE ARE SHOWN.

 
 

ALUMINUM ENGINE COVER, HELD IN PLACE WITH FIVE (5) TORX-HEAD MACHINE SCREWS.

 
 

REMOVE ALL FIVE TORX-HEAD MACHINE SCREWS WITH A TORX T30 SOCKET DRIVE.

 
 

REMOVE ALUMINUM COVER.

 
 

WITH EXISTING COVERS REMOVED, PUSH D-RINGS AND NYLON STRAPS DOWN.

 
 

THREAD STEEL SPACERS INTO THE TWO FORWARD-OUTER METAL-COVER FASTENER LOCATIONS.

 
 

STEEL SPACERS INSTALLED.

 
 

USE SUCTION CUPS TO LIFT COVER AND INSERT TABS ON AFT EDGE INTO SLOTS, KEEPING FORWARD EDGE SLIGHTLY UP.

 
 

TAB BEING INSERTED INTO SLOT.

 
 

LOWER FORWARD EDGE UNTIL COVER IS RESTING UPON TOP SURFACES OF STEEL SPACERS. IF NEEDED, WIGGLE COVER WITH SUCTION-CUPS TO SEAT EDGE GASKET.

 
 

SECURE COVER BY INSERTING THUMB SCREWS THROUGH CLEARANCE HOLES IN COVER AND THREADING INTO THE TAPPED HOLES IN THE SPACERS.
